Where your writing goes
- A research run now asks before it sends. Answering Keep This Wiki on My Mac covered questions asked in the drawer, and did not cover a research run — which sent your question, any pages you had pinned to it, and whatever the run went on to read. The permission MojoPad asks about a wiki says it covers your own agent; the research path never consulted it. It does now, and a refusal is said in words rather than leaving you with a button that quietly does nothing.
- And Settings no longer claims your writing stays here when it does not. The line under the model chooser decided by asking whether you had set up an outside provider. Your own agent is not a provider — it sits in the same list and reaches the internet to answer — so with the agent selected and no provider configured, the one pane you would open to check where your writing goes told you it never leaves. It now says plainly that questions go to your agent, and that indexing, search by meaning and resurfacing stay on this Mac.
- Pages a research run is given are kept separate from folders you granted it, so the difference between “somewhere I chose” and “prose that arrived from elsewhere” survives all the way to the command that runs.
- A document’s own scripts can no longer reach out to the web unasked. Fetching a bookmark, importing an address, fetching pictures and reading an image for an export all now ask the same question a plugin’s own fetch has always asked: may this document reach this site? Once per site, remembered if you say so — and once per site rather than once per picture.
- Nor change your mailbox password, read which services you have keys for, deactivate your license, or delete your unprotected backups. Each of those was reachable from a page’s own scripts. The backup deletion in particular asked its question in a window a script could skip; it is asked where the deleting happens now.
Your own agent
- There is a setting for it. MojoPad still finds the usual installs by itself, so most people never need it — but if yours lives somewhere unusual you can name it, in Settings ▸ AI ▸ Your own agent, and the line underneath says where MojoPad looked and what it found. It can be set there and nowhere else.
- And MojoPad stops disagreeing with itself about whether you have one. Two parts of Settings searched different places, so a reader whose agent was installed by its own migration step could be told by one pane that it was available and by the model chooser that it was not — and the diagnostic report agreed with the wrong one.
Scripts
- A script written on a formatted page no longer fails for an invisible reason. MojoPad’s editor leaves a zero-width character where the cursor was, and one between two words of code stopped a script running, reporting a syntax error with no line number against code that looked perfect. Those characters are removed before a script runs, and the note says which repair was made rather than blaming your quotation marks.
- Testing an event page from the menu reports what happened. A failure went to the status line, which clears after a few seconds — so choosing it and getting an error looked exactly like choosing it and nothing happening.
- An answer you saved remembers that you saved it. The button said Save as Page again every time the drawer redrew, with nothing to show which answers had already been kept. It now says so, and takes you to the page it made.
