When macOS 27 comes out, do you think it may be possible in Mojopad to use the Apple model as an alternative to separate models downloaded via Ollama? I think that could have some advantages in terms of storage space.
I’ll have to take a look at it when released. The key thing will be does it stay local. If it does not, then I am really not sure. I don’t think people want their data to become part of a model. This was the key for me implementing Ollama, all data stays local to a persons computer. I will likely at some point offer people the option to use their own keys for other AI models etc, with a stark warning that if they use it, they become part of a global model.
