A “voice couldn’t load” error appears whenever I click on the “Reading Aloud” icon. I get this same error on my Mac Mini and MacBook Air. Would you mind looking into this?
Try 1.72.1, Just released.

Thanks Mark. I downloaded and tried to 1.72.1. All is well in my universe again. ![]()
Let me take this opportunity to ask for a new feature for “Reading Aloud”. I would love, love, love X love … if it were possible in MojoPad to create an audiobook of the PDF, epubs, and text. If possible, I would be wonderful if MojoPad could export an audio file in various formats (mb4, mp3, and so on) and have chapter and section markers that playable in apps like Apple Books (mb4). You have nailed it with getting the reader in MojoPad to read bilingual texts. That is a feature that no other app has, even dedicated audiobook-creation apps! When I am working on a research paper, I like to create audiobooks of important PDFs and e-books to listen to on the go, or when I get myself away from the computer. Audiobooks help me to get the overall context of the research, hone in on things that important for my own research, and come across ideas and notions I missed in normal reading.
I understand that this sort of feature is not common of a note-taking, wiki-type apps, and developing this may take you away from development of expected, main features. But if you think this is doable, you would be helping out a lot of academics, at least. ![]()
This request is not as uncommon as you might think. You have probably seen that MojoPad is really morphing out of it’s former wiki shell. I would say in it’s state today, it is more of a thought studio, and it will continue to drive down this path heavily. With that being said, I should have this ready for release tomorrow. It is done and going through testing now.
